Dave Wilson Racing History

Dave Wilson has been drag racing for more than 25 years in Top Methanol Dragster, starting with an ex top fuel chassis Krypton 1. In 1980 following a crash which broke his neck and destroyed the car, he built his own chassis, Krypton 2, and won the top alcohol championship in 1984 & 1986. Following a retirement from 1987 to 1990 he returned with the same car updated and competed very successfully all over Europe until 1997 when an agreement was reached to drive and tune for the Nemesis TAD team resulting in numerous records and wins including 2^nd and 3^rd places in the FIA European Championship.

In 2001 he teamed up with London based company American Car Imports to form American Car Imports Racing and acquired first a Meyer and now a Hadman chassis fitted with a Brad Andersen billet block and a PSI supercharger. This very successful partnership has resulted in four consecutive FIA European championships 2003-2006 and numerous other records shown in the section below.
